Teena Price's love for the Tree of Remembrance Ceremony has, itself, been remembered through a special donation to the annual event.

Teena worked at the Lethbridge Legion Savings and Credit Union for 10 years and was there when the decision was made to shut it down. During her time with the credit union, she was a passionate supporter of the ceremony that each December honours Branch veterans who have passed away during the previous year.

Sadly, Teena passed away in October 2016.

In recognition of Teena's support and in honour of her memory, it was decided that the dispersal of funds from the credit union would include a $2,500 donation to the committee that oversees the Tree of Remembrance. A cheque was presented to committee chair Gladys Archer by Mike Bennett, the former president of the Lethbridge Legion Savings and Credit Union on Sept. 12.
