May 5th Veteran Dinner Marks Liberation of Netherlands

The Branch welcomed Veterans and their spouses/caregivers on May 5th for a dinner commemorating the Liberation of the Netherlands. May 5th was the 80th anniversary of the surrender of Germans in the Netherlands. Canadians played a key role in the liberation. The 8 month campaign from September 1944 to April 1945 cost the lives of over 7600 Canadians.
